Allegaeon is a progressive death metal band from Fort Collins, Colorado. Founded in 2008, the group consists of vocalist Riley McShane, guitarists Greg Burgess and Michael Stancel, bassist Corey Archuleta, and drummer Brandon Park. Combining elements of progressive metal, melodic death metal, and orchestral music, Allegaeon’s music features complex time signatures, complex riffs, and atmospheric passages. The group has released seven studio albums, with their latest being Apoptosis (2019). The album includes a guest appearance from Chris Adler, formerly of Lamb of God. In addition to touring, Allegaeon’s music has been featured in various video games, such as Gears Of War, and their songs have been featured on movie soundtracks, including The Vatican Tapes.
