Amadou & Mariam tickets

Amadou & Mariam are a Grammy-nominated Malian musical duo consisting of the married couple Amadou Bagayoko and Mariam Doumbia. Both members of the couple are visually impaired, and have used their challenges to inspire their music. Over the years, they have released nine full-length albums, and collaborated with big-name musicians such as Manu Chao, Damon Albarn, and Calexico. Amadou & Mariam have earned multiple awards and achieved platinum and gold discs in France for their music. They are best known for their hit 2007 album, Mali Music, which fused traditional West African genres with funk, blues, jazz, and rock. The album was met with rave reviews, and was a launchpad for the duo's international career. Along with their music, Amadou & Mariam are active in philanthropic work, including the 2003 founding of the NGO Afrika N'Soleil.
