Cyrus Chestnut Trio is a jazz piano trio from New York. It consists of acclaimed jazz pianist and composer Cyrus Chestnut, Rodney Jordan on bass, and Neal Smith on drums. They have recorded two albums, 2014's Live at the Midnight Ramble and 2018's There's a Sweet, Sweet Spirit, both of which have been well received by the jazz community. In addition to their own music, they have also played as backup for a variety of jazz legends like Abbey Lincoln, Lionel Hampton, and Benny Golson. Throughout their career, they have performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and The Blue Note. They are known for their high energy performances and their unique blend of different musical styles from around the world.
