Demon is an English rock band, formed in 1979 in the Midlands area of England. The original members were Dave Hill, Malcolm Styles, and Les Hunt. The band released several singles and albums throughout the 80s, such as Hold On, What Do You Know?, and Rebel Rockers. Demon also released a greatest hits album, Beyond the Gates of Hell, which featured some of their most popular songs. Their best-known single was the 1986 release “The Strangers”, which charted at number five on the UK Singles Chart and number one in Ireland. They disbanded in 1989, but reunited in 2006. In 2011, the group released an album entitled A Step Back in Time, to commemorate their 30th anniversary. Their sound has been described as classic hard rock with a touch of glam.
