Die Toten Hosen is a German punk rock band from Düsseldorf, Germany that formed in 1982. They are considered to be one of the best-known punk bands in Germany by far. Since the mid-1980s The Toten Hosen have had numerous chart-hits in Germany and Europe. Their lyrical themes often focus on social and political issues such as influence of the media and nuclear power plants. The band have managed to maintain a remarkably successful career selling out stadiums even after more than 30 years since they formed. Die Toten Hosen embarked on their farewell tour in 2017, performing more than 40 shows in Europe before ultimately disbanding in 2019.
