D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) is an American crossover thrash band from Houston, Texas. Formed in 1982, the group is considered one of the pioneers of crossover thrash, combining elements of hardcore punk and extreme metal. The band has released nine studio albums and has sold over a million records worldwide. D.R.I. has been on tour throughout their entire career, and have performed alongside notable bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax. They have won three major music awards and are nominated for the Vans Warped Tour 2020 Hall of Fame. Aside from performing live, the band has had a lasting influence in the metal and punk scenes, with many bands citing them as an influence.
