Duff McKagan is a multi-talented music artist and songwriter from Seattle, Washington. Born in 1964, he first gained attention as the bassist of the popular rock band Guns N' Roses from 1984 to 1997. He, along with Guns N' Roses, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Following his departure from Guns N' Roses, McKagan pursued a successful solo career, releasing the album Believe in Me in 1993 as well as three other albums, including his current band, Loaded. In addition to his musical endeavors, McKagan wrote the autobiography It's So Easy (and Other Lies) chronicling his growth in the music industry. He also wrote a column for Seattle Weekly newspaper and plays in two other bands. As a result of his longevity and distinct musical style, McKagan has become one of the most sought-after musicians in the hard rock genre.
