Earth Crisis is an American metal and hardcore punk band that was formed in Syracuse, New York in 1989. Their brand of heavy music focused on animal rights, social justice and environmental awareness, and they were pioneers of vegan straightedge culture. The band has released seven studio albums, a series of EPs, and several compilations. They have toured the U.S., Canada, Europe, and South America and they have co-headlined many major festivals, including Hellfest, Rumble in the Prairie, Obscene Extreme, and Resurrection Fest. After their 2000 album Breed the Killers, the band disbanded but reunited in 2007. Since their reunion, they released three more records and have toured extensively. Earth Crisis have become a global hardcore household name, influencing a wide range of bands in the genre.
