Ensiferum is a folk metal band formed in Finland in 1995. They incorporate both traditional heavy metal and folk music into their sound, drawing influences from bands like Children of Bodom, Wintersun and Moonsorrow. The band is known for blending melodic death metal and power metal with folk and folk-influenced keyboard and guitar parts, as well as traditional folk instruments such as the violin, flute, and accordion.

Led by founding members Petri Lindroos, Markus Toivonen and Sami Hinkka, with percussionist Emmi Silvennoinen joining in 2001, Ensiferum have released six studio albums, two live albums, four EP's and three DVDs. Their latest studio album, Two Paths, was released in 2017 on Metal Blade Records. It was their first album featuring Netta Skog as a vocalist and guitarist as well as their first album to feature former Wintersun frontman Jari Mäenp
