Essential Logic is a pioneering British post-punk band formed in 1978, fronted by the saxophonist and vocalist Lora Logic, who had previously been a member of the influential punk band X-Ray Spex. Known for their eclectic sound that fused punk rock energy with experimental saxophone melodies and avant-garde influences, Essential Logic quickly became a notable act within the post-punk scene. The band released their debut album, "Beat Rhythm News (Waddle Ya Play?)," in 1979, showcasing Lora Logic's distinctive vocal style and innovative compositions.
