Fastball is an American rock band from Austin, Texas who formed in 1994 and attained mainstream success with their 1998 album All the Pain Money Can Buy. The band is composed of members Miles Zuniga (vocals, guitar), Tony Scalzo (bass, keyboards, vocals), and Joey Shuffield (drums). This album contained three hit singles, "The Way", "Out of My Head", and "Fire Escape".

The band has released five studio albums and one EP since then, with their most successful being 2000’s The Harsh Light of Day. The lead single “You’re an Ocean” reached No. 11 on the modern rock charts. Fastball is known for their melodic pop rock sound and dynamic live shows.
