Henry Morris was a pioneering figure in the creation science movement, born on October 6, 1918, in Dallas, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Rice University and later a Ph.D. in hydraulic engineering from the University of Minnesota. Morris co-authored "The Genesis Flood" in 1961, a seminal work that laid the foundation for modern creationism by challenging conventional scientific views on geology and evolution. In 1970, he founded the Institute for Creation Research, further solidifying his role as a leading advocate for the integration of Biblical literalism with scientific inquiry. Throughout his career, Morris authored numerous books and articles, significantly influencing the discourse around science and religion until his death in 2006.
