Jim Lauderdale is an American country music singer-songwriter and musician. He has released 25 solo albums, which have produced hits likes "We're Gone," Tonight I'm Gonna Ride," and "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly." He has also written songs for other award-winning country artists, including George Strait, Blake Shelton, Vince Gill, and George Jones. Lauderdale was part of the collaborative album Mission California with Gary Allan and has written two books. He was inducted into the Nashville songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010 as well as the North Carolina Hall of Fame in 2018. He was also honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Americana Music Association. Lauderdale continues to write and perform, most recently performing at Homegrown 2020 in Nashville.
