Jon Allen is a British rock and folk singer-songwriter based in England. His music has an alt-country feel, and blends haunting melodies with stories of lost love, hope, and beauty. He has released several popular albums, the most notable being Sweet Defeat in 2007 and Dead Man’s Suit in 2009. He has also had numerous tracks featured on television shows, including hit series such as Grey’s Anatomy and House. His songs have been used by a variety of charity projects, including The British Red Cross and Farmers for Action. Allen has had mainstream success, performing with artists such as Bloc Party, Razorlight, and Glasvegas. In 2017 he was awarded The Gilles Peterson’s World Stage for his music.
