Jon McLaughlin is an American singer-songwriter from Indianapolis, Indiana. He began his singing career in 2004 with the release of his debut album This Is the Winter. Since then he has gone on to release a further five studio albums. His third album, OK Now, was released in 2008 and garnered him much critical acclaim, with singles from the album appearing in the soundtracks of various films and television series. In 2012, he released the EP Promising Promises, with viral success of a YouTube video produced in association with the album. He is also the musical director for live TV show, Nashville. Beyond his solo career, he is a songwriter and producer, having co-written songs for Demi Lovato and Owl City. He released his latest album, The Phoenix, in March 2017.
