Kingswood is an alternative rock band from Melbourne, Australia. The four-piece group consists of frontman Fergus Linacre, drummer Alex Laska, bassist Jeb Taylor and guitarist Alex O’Gorman. The band began in 2011, when the two guitarists met at a music festival and discovered they both shared an admiration for the Rolling Stones, Radiohead and Oasis. Their self-titled debut EP dropped in 2012 and their first single ‘Oh My’ provided an Iggy Pop and Arctic Monkeys-esque-anthem, gaining them national attention. Since then, Kingswood has released three studio albums, Microscopic Wars, After Hours, Close To Dawn, and their latest release, Juveniles, which won the AIR Awards for Best Rock Album Of The Year in 2019. The group have toured all around Australia, Europe and North America and have performed at several music festivals, including Splendour In The Grass and Laneway Festival.
