La Mafia is a Grammy award-winning Tejano / Mexican-American band based out of Houston, Texas. They were formed in 1980 and since then, have become one of the most iconic and largest selling Tejano groups in history. The group is known for their distinctive accordion-driven sound and traditional Tejano / Norteño style of music. Their signature sound has allowed them to bring exposure to Mexican music and Mexican culture all over the world, including becoming the first Tejano group ever to tour in Russia. Over the course of their career, La Mafia has won 5 Latin Grammys and multiple American Music Awards.
