Lanterns On the Lake is an English indie rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne. Formed in 2007, the band consists of Hazel Wilde (vocals, guitar, glockenspiel), Paul Gregory (guitar, synths, theremin, backing vocals), Oliver Ketteringham (drums, percussion, programming), Bob Allan (bass) and Angela Chan (keys, backing vocals).

Since their 2008 self-released debut EP entitled 'Leaving Trails', they have gone onto to release four full-length albums, most notably 'Theheart which was released in 2011. Their music incorporates lush, emotive instrumentals with Hazel’s haunting vocals, drawing influence from both psychedelic bleakness and the British folk tradition. Lanterns On the Lake have been critically acclaimed in the UK and abroad, regularly featuring in the BBC Radio 6 Music A List. They have also garnered a reputation for their powerful live shows.
