Lil Mo is an R&B/hip-hop singer and songwriter. She first emerged on the music scene as a songwriter and collaborator, writing songs for acts like Missy Elliott, The Lox, Capone-n-Noreaga and many more. In 2001, she released her debut album, Based On A True Story, for which she gained a great deal of fame and recognition. The album was a success, yielding hits like, “Superwoman Pt. II”, featuring Fabolous, and “Gangsta”. Since then, she has released four other studio albums, one of which was nominated for a Soul Train Award. As well as her releases as a solo artist, Lil Mo has also been featured on numerous tracks by other artists. Her career has seen her collaborate with some of music’s most iconic names, making a name for herself as one of the best female R&B lyricists.
