Little Boots is an English electro-pop musician from Blackpool, Lancashire. She became recognized for her synthpop solo project after she won the 2009 clubonetwo.com 'Best Unsigned Act in the UK' competition. Her debut album 'Hands' was released in 2009 to critical acclaim and spawned several singles, including "New in Town". Since then, Little Boots has gone on to collaborate with other artists, including Editors and DJ Fresh, as well as release two more albums, 'Nocturnal' in 2012 and 'Working Girl' in 2015. Little Boots' music focuses on topics of femininity, power, and identity, and she is renowned for her live shows which blend visual art with live instrumentation.
