Los Dos Carnales, formed by singer-songwriters Alto and Pedro Navajas, have been producing music together since 2002. The two cousins have released 5 studio albums of Mexican Norteño music, including Rep for the Eastside (2005), Por Los Cavacos (2009), Por El Mero Pendejo (2014), and Instrucciones Para El Viento (2019). Their musical style combines traditional Mexican folk music with more modern rock, jazz, and pop elements. They are known for their lively and upbeat songs that center on themes of family, love, friendship, and the experiences of working-class people in their hometown of Monterrey, Mexico. Los Dos Carnales have received numerous GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY nominations throughout their career, for both their albums and individual songs.
