Mainliner is a pioneering Japanese noise rock band formed in 1995, known for their intense and chaotic soundscapes. The band originally consisted of guitarist Kawabata Makoto, also known for his work with Acid Mothers Temple, bassist Asahito Nanjo from the group High Rise, and drummer Hajime Koizumi. Mainliner's music is characterized by its heavy distortion, relentless energy, and improvisational elements, drawing influences from both psychedelic rock and free jazz.
