About Marillion

Marillion is a popular British progressive rock music band that was formed in Aylesbury, England back in 1979. The original band consisted of vocalist and lyricist, Fish, guitarist Steve Rothery, bassist, Pete Trewavas, keyboardist Mark Kelly, and drummer, Mick Pointer. Marillion released their debut studio album entitled Script for a Jester’s Tear in 1983, when they were signed to EMI Records. This album was very popular in the United Kingdom and reached the top 5 in the UK Albums chart. Since then Marillion have released 18 further studio albums and are signed to a number of other music labels, including Inside Out Music and earMusic. Throughout their career, their music has been praised for being emotionally powerful, with their latest album, 2017’s F.E.A.R., featuring some of their most progressive and upbeat material to date.
