Mick Jenkins is an American hip-hop artist who rose to prominence in the early 2010s with the release of his tracks ‘Martyrs’ and ‘P's & Q's’. Since then, he has gone on to release independent mixtapes and two full length studio albums "The Water[s]" and "Pieces of a Man". He was originally a video editor, but swapped jobs to become a full-time artist when his songs started to gain traction and recognition. He has collaborated with the likes of Kaytranada, BADBADNOTGOOD and The Mind. Jenkins is an outspoken artist who often addresses social and political issues through his music, particularly being an advocate for environmentally conscious living and activism. He has toured extensively over the years, most recently touring with J. Cole in 2016.
