Miss May I is an American metalcore band from Troy, Ohio. Originally formed in 2007, they have released five full-length albums since their 2010 debut record, Apologies are for the Weak, to much acclaim. Their fans appreciate their aggressive approach to writing and their combination of technical and accessible metalcore. Largely forged by vocalist Levi Benton, the band has toured all the continents – including multiple headline runs – and shared stages with some of the biggest names in the metalcore scene. Considered a main form of the genre, their sound builds upon tight guitar riffs, heavy drums and abrasive, yet melodic vocal lines. With a wide appeal to both metal and hardcore fans, Miss May I is an instrumental part of the metalcore culture.
