Pert Near Sandstone is an American old-time and bluegrass band based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their music can fit into a variety of genres including folk, rock, and soul. Since their formation in 2003, they have released six studio albums and four live albums, all of which have largely been self-produced. The bands' signature sound has also earned them numerous positive reviews as well as licensing deals with multiple television networks for their music to be featured. In 2010, Pert Near Sandstone embarked on a four-month tour of Europe and for the next decade or so, they continued to remain active in both touring and recording. Today, they continue to perform throughout the US.
