Robby Krieger is an American musician and singer-songwriter best known as the guitarist for the band The Doors. Though he was not the original lead singer, the legendary rock group quickly became known for Krieger’s iconic and unique lead guitar style. In addition to his work with The Doors, Krieger has had a successful solo career. His 1970s-era instrumental jazz-fusion, released many singles and several albums, including his self-titled debut. Additionally, Krieger has worked on a variety of recordings with other artists, including his solo blues album, “Cinematix.” Krieger’s ongoing career has seen him receive various honours, such as induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Doors in 1993. He continues to tour and perform both solo and with The Doors and has released a number of new albums.
