About Robyn Hitchcock
Robyn Hitchcock is a British songwriter, vocalist and guitarist who has been active within the rock music scene since the late 1970s. He was the founder of the influential bands The Soft Boys and The Egyptians before going solo in 1981. Throughout his career, Hitchcock has created a sound that blends elements from psychedelia, folk music, and punk. His most successful records have featured Robert Reeves, Morris Windsor, and Andy Metcalfe, and later The Venus 3, a band comprised of Peter Buck, Scott McCaughey, and Bill Rieflin. His music is often described as witty, terrifiying, bittersweet, and full of vivid imagery. Hitchock's latest album, Love From London, was released in 2013 and his music has been celebrated by fans and critics alike.
