Rony Seikaly is a Lebanese-born American retired professional basketball player and music artist. His 18-year career in the NBA began in 1988 when he was selected 9th overall in the NBA Draft by the Miami Heat. During his playing career, Seikaly was a four-time NBA All-Star, as well as being an All-Rookie First Team selection in 1988-89. He was also a member of the Heat team that reached the Eastern Conference finals in 1999. After retiring from basketball, Seikaly has been active in the world of music. He is a multi-instrumentalist performer, producer, and DJ. His music career has included the release of a few singles and albums, as well as booking gigs in major cities around the world. He also founded his own label, Rony Seikaly Music, which focuses on original house and electronic productions.
