Silvestre Dangond is a Colombian artist who is widely considered to be one of the leading figures in vallenato music. His musical career began at the early age of 14 when he released his debut album, ‘Viva La Vida’ in 1999. Since then he has released over 20 albums which have sold millions of copies and achieved numerous awards across Latin America, including five Latin Grammy nominations. His style is a fusion of traditional vallenato, with elements of salsa, merengue, cumbia, reguetón, bachata and dubstep. He is known for his energetic performances and for being able to win over crowds of all ages. He is currently signed to Universal Music Group and still remains one of the most popular Colombian artists in the industry.
