Status Quo is an English rock band that formed in 1962. Originally called the "Spectres", the name was changed to Status Quo in 1967. The band has achieved worldwide success with their classic rock and boogie rock sound. They have released 60 studio albums, 25 live albums, over 100 compilation albums, and over 60 chart singles. Amongst their hits are "Down Down", "In the Army Now", and "Rockin' All Over the World". The band is one of the most prolific music acts in the world, with record sales of over 118 million. Over their career, Status Quo has won several awards, including the Ivor Novello Award for "Outstanding Service to British Music".
