About Stephen Allkins
Stephen Allkins is an American composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from South Carolina. He is best known for creating beautiful, haunting music that seeks to evoke the subtleties of human emotion. Allkins has composed several soundtracks for films and television, including A Scanner Darkly and Trapped. In 2019, Allkins released his debut solo album, An American Cliché, on InFiné Music. His work has been featured in films such as Love the Coopers, Life Itself, and Venice: The Series. Allkins has also created commissions for organizations like the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, which performed Allkins' orchestral piece for the 2017 KSO Ovation award ceremony. As a live performer, Allkins has opened for acts like Explosions in the Sky, Corb Lund, and Lucy Dacus.
