The Aints (formerly known as The Saint) is an Australian post-punk band founded in Sydney in 1982 by Ed Kuepper, and has since gone on to become one of Australia's most influential bands. The Aints have received international attention for their haphazard mix of rock, blues, roots and punk. Their sound is a sort of Australian, punk rock meets bluegrass hybrid. Through their live shows, albums, and various other albums, they have built a devoted fanbase around the world. Frontman Ed Kuepper has become a major influence on Australian music, writing and performing many solo albums of his own, as well as collaborations with the B-52's and The Church. The Aints continue to regularly perform and record, and have released their eighth studio album in 2019.
