The Cinematic Orchestra is a British nu-jazz and electronic music group comprising of founders and core members Jason Swinscoe, Phil France, Nick Ramm, and Tom Chant. Formed in 1999, their music is noted for its ability to blend jazz with various other genres, including classical, dub, hip-hop, rock and minimalist drum-and-bass.

Throughout the 2000s, the group released a series of acclaimed albums including the highly successful 2002 release, Every Day. Among its most popular tracks are "To Build A Home", from the 2007 album Ma Fleur, featuring Patrick Watson, and "2020" from The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos Soundtrack (2008).
