About The Mavericks
band
The Mavericks are a country and rock band from Miami, Florida. Founded in 1989 by leader singer Raul Malo, the band includes bassist Robert Reynolds and guitarist Eddie Perez. Throughout their career, they have produced more than a dozen albums that cross the stylistic boundaries of country, Latin, rock, and blues genres. Their works have earned them numerous awards, including a Grammy win in the country/western category for their song "Here Comes The Rain" in 1996. Throughout the 1990s, the band sold millions of records and earned a strong reputation as a great live act. Following a long hiatus, The Mavericks reunited for Good Times Europe Tour in 2012 and again in 2013 for an extensive North American tour. After releasing their critically acclaimed album In Time in 2013, The Mavericks returned to performing in 2019.
