The Seshen is an Oakland-based seven-piece electronic soul and dream pop group comprised of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Akiyoshi Ehara, vocalist and keyboardist Lalin St. Juste, bassist and vocalist Seven Akinsuyi, producer and drummer Chris Anchando, percussionist and vocalist Darian Grey, saxophonist and vocalist Aaron Paar, and guitarist Cyril Guiraud.

The group is acclaimed for their seductive blend of soulful, pop-leaning production. Their debut album, Flames & Figures, was released in 2019 to positive reviews, praised for their atmospheric blend of modern electronic, classic soul and hip-hop, all held in harmony by the soaring vocals of both St. Juste and Ehara.

The Seshen released their sophomore album, Cycle, in 2021. It was a project that saw the band expanding in their experimentation with varying genres, from Afropop
