Victoria Monét is an American singer, songwriter, and producer from North Carolina. She began her career as a songwriter, penning songs for the likes of Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony and Chris Brown. In 2016, she released her solo debut EP, Nightmares & Lullabies: Act 1, which gained a lot of attention from music critics. Her single "Do You Like It?" charted on Billboard, and was was featured in the movies Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and Step Up 2: The Streets. Since then, Monét has continued to release music independently, including her full-length album, Jaguar, in 2020. She is also actively engaged in the activism movement, using her platform to advocate for social justice and uplift Black women.
