Zounds tickets

Zounds is an English post-punk band that formed in 1979 in Cheltenham. Consisting of vocalist Steve Lake, guitarist Steve Pond, bassist Steve Smith, and drummer Jon Brophey, the band released four albums starting with Curse of Zounds (1982). They were well known for their incorporation of both electronic and classical style music along with a unique style of songwriting and lyrics. Their second album, The Party's Happening, was released in 1983. This album, along with The Curse of Zounds and The Redemption of Zounds (released in 1986) consolidated their national success and earning them a place in the post-punk movement. In 2005, after a lengthy hiatus, the band reunited to release an album of newly recorded material under the name Zounds of the 21st Century. The album, Credible Witness, was well received and spawned several live shows in England and Japan.
