About The Blackout
The Blackout, made up of members Sean Smith, Gareth Lawrence, Gavin Butler, James Davies and Matty Derham, formed in 2003 and are a Welsh rock/pop-punk band. Their debut album 'We Are The Dynamite' was released in 2007 and the band's biggest single, ‘Save Ourselves’, reached the UK Top 30 in the same year. They have released 3 studio albums with their most recent ‘Hope’, released in 2013, being released as a free download as the band felt their fans should not have to pay to hear their music. They have toured Europe and the US extensively, supporting major acts such as Thirty Seconds To Mars, Paramore and My Chemical Romance over the past 13 years. The Blackout are currently on hiatus, having last played together in 2015, and the future of the band remains unclear.
