Charlie Walker is an American country music singer from Copeville, Texas. He is best known for his appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, where he was a regular performer. He released more than 30 albums during his career and charted more than 25 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, including hits such as "Pick Me Up on Your Way Down" and " Cherokee Boogie". His other notable singles include "Everybody Knows (But You)", "One in a Row", and "Don't Squeeze My Sharmon". He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1974 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 81.
