Áine Tyrrell is an Irish singer-songwriter and folklorist based in Sydney, Australia. With a diverse musical upbringing ranging from traditional Irish folk to punk and Indie Rock, Tyrrell’s unique style of soulful contemporary folk projects an energy of honesty and emotion.

Tyrrell’s music has taken her around the world, from supporting artists like The Cranberries, playing sold out shows and headlining her own tours in the U.S., U.K., and Ireland to making appearances at music festivals like Glastonbury, Rochester Fest and Oysterfest.

Her albums have been a critical success, being named one of the Top 10 Irish Albums of the Decade by folk legend Mr. Gerry Leonard and she was the subject of a feature documentary in 2018, “Chasing Women”, which documents her attempts to incorporate socially conscious themes into her music and her drive to break down the barriers within the Irish music scene
