About Max Richter
Max Richter is a British composer and producer based in Berlin, Germany. Since the early 2000s, Max has been creating an expansive body of work that often combines minimalist composition with contemporary electronic music. He is well known for his modern classical works, including two BBC Prom concerts, and for his music for film and television, including the HBO series 'The Leftovers' and the 2016 feature film 'Arrival' which earned him Golden Globe nominations. He has recently worked on the score for the critically acclaimed 'Hostiles', 'Ad Astra' and 'Mary Queen of Scots'. In 2018, Max was named a "BBC Artist of the Year". Richter's entire 8-hour album, "Sleep", was featured in the Guinness World Records as the longest album ever released.
