About The Mark Of Cain
The Mark Of Cain is an Australian post-hardcore rock band that originated in 1985. The band was formed by brothers John and Kim Scott in Adelaide, South Australia, and is named after the lyric from Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven". The band is known for its aggressive sound which combines metal, punk, and grunge influences. Throughout their career, the band has released ten albums, ranging from their debut album Battlesick in 1988 to their latest release, Songs of the Third and Fifth, in 2014. In addition to their original material, the band is well known for their covers of "Raw Power" by Iggy and The Stooges and "A. C./D. C." by AC/DC. The Mark Of Cain has toured extensively throughout Australia, Europe, and the United States, and is considered to be one of the most influential Australian bands.
