About Chain
Chain is an Australian blues rock band, formed in 1968. The band achieved significant chart success in the 1970s and 80s, and has been described as Australia's answer to Led Zeppelin. Chain released their self-titled debut album in 1969, which was well received, and went on to be certified Gold. Their follow-up album "From the Workshop", released in 1971, featured some of their most popular songs, including "Black and Blue", "Too Late" and their cover version of Bob Dylan's "Maggie's Farm". Chain released several successful albums over the next decade, including "Head and Tail" in 1972, "Toward the Blues" in 1975 and "Third Link" in 1979. The band had six top 10 singles in Australia, and sold over 500,000 albums and 1.2 million singles. Chain reunited for periodic performances in the 1990s and 2000s, with their last major performance taking place at the 2014 Byron Bay Bluesfest.
