About Steve Kilbey
Steve Kilbey is an Australian musician, songwriter, vocalist, and producer, best known as the frontman of the rock band The Church. Kilbey formed the group along with guitarist Peter Koppes and drummer Nick Ward in Sydney in 1980, releasing two critically acclaimed albums, Of Skins and Heart (1981) and The Blurred Crusade (1982). Kilbey embarked on a solo career in the mid-1980s, which included two solo albums, Earthed (1986) and Unearthed (1988). Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s Kilbey continued to record and tour with The Church, while releasing more solo recordings such as Pria and Magician among the Spirits. He has also collaborated on numerous projects with artists such as Danielle Howle, Clare Bowditch, Nick Cave, and Guy Maddison. In the mid-2000s Kilbey immersed himself in visual art and writing and released the book Everything& Nothing - Reflections and Commentary from a Rock Po
