About Dear Seattle
Dear Seattle is a punk-pop four-member band from Sydney, Australia. Following the release of their more powerful self-titled EP in 2017, the group shifted their style of play. With a new identity as an emocore band, their music quickly altered between screamo, aggressive instrumentals, and love-letter like lyrics. Their sound is typical of early 2000's emo-punk groups such as A Day To Remember, Paramore, or Funeral For a Friend.
Thier 2019 album debut "Don't Let Go" is the best showing of how the group's sound has taken a turn for the best. Their songs are softer, Brae's voice adds the right amount of emotion to the tracks, and they maintain the energetic emo-punk feeling throughout their music. Their single "Daytime TV", which featured on their debut album, was also added on rotation on triple J, helping the band gain the right momentum to fuel their nationwide tour in 2019.
