Mammal is an Australian psychedelic rock band. Formed in 2003 in Sydney, Australia, the band has released four studio albums and two EPs. The band is known for their intricate sounds and powerful rhythm section, and is led by the melodic voice of vocalist and guitarist, Adam Hindmarsh. Mammal's songwriting draws influence from the likes of Led Zeppelin, Wilco, and Pink Floyd. In 2014, their song "Break My Skin" from the album The Majority was used in the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past. The band has had successful tours of both Australia and Europe, and have recently finished touring in support of their latest album, Mammalia. Mammal continues to create original music that captures the imagination and has become an iconic part of the Australian music scene.
