Aces High is an Australian hard rock band, formed in 2006 on the Gold Coast, Queensland, by vocalist and guitarist, Rob Turtle. Aces High's music is a mix of blues infused hard rock coupled with 90's grunge and classic and modern rock, formulated to create a unique sound. With influences ranging from Deep Purple, CCR, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin, their sound has become dubbed "roots rock". The band released their first full album, 'Scratch Head' in 2008 with positive reviews, and has since released two more, 'Grandville' in 2010 and 2014's 'VII'. Aces High has toured with some of Australia's legendary live acts including Jimmy Barnes, Phil Emmanuel and the Screaming Jets. After several lineup changes, Aces High are now touring as a 3 piece; Rob Turtle is accompanied with Roly 'Rolls' French on olutom(synth) and Sam Savill on drums
