Mindsnare is an Australian hardcore punk band from Melbourne, Victoria. Formed in 1998, the band is widely credited for helping define the local hardcore sound in Australia. Throughout their career, Mindsnare released three full-length albums, Brutal Measures (2000), Damned To Blindness (2004) and Malestrom (2008). They have also released several EPs, splits and 7″ records and have been featured on several various artists compilations. Mindsnare went on indefinite hiatus in 2012, but their influence on the Australian hardcore punk scene still lives on.
