Cradle of Filth is an extreme metal band from Suffolk, England. They are known for their controversial and sinister sounding lyrics, along with black metal, gothic metal and thrash metal sound. Their debut album, "The Principle of Evil Made Flesh", was released in 1994 and was critically acclaimed. They followed this with other chart-topping albums such as "Dusk ...and Her Embrace", "Cruelty and the Beast" and "Midian". They are considered one of the pioneers of extreme metal and one of the most successful heavy metal bands of the last two decades. Their music has also been featured in films such as "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" and "Underworld".
